Ingredients:
A lot of
minced garlic
Salt
1 lime |

Preparation:
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and saute the garlic and onions until gold. Add the chopped tomatoes, spices and salt. After 2 minutes put in the Oporto wine and the mussels. Cover the pan. Steam for 5-6 minutes or until shells are open and meats are not translucent. Add chopped parsley Remove from heat and discard any unopened shells. Serve immediately in large bowls and add lime juice over mussels. Accompany with bread and white wine or beer. |

Alternatively, you can use white wine instead of Oporto wine, leaving out the tomatoes. This would be the famous Moules Mariniere
