The globalization of markets and the introduction of competition in public services has meant that, in the short and medium term, national and international industrial structures have to undergo major changes. Therefore, in most of the developed and developing countries there is a great demand for experts in Industrial Economics.
The objective of the Master is to satisfy this demand by providing a solid foundation in three key areas: Industrial Organization, Finance and Business and Quantitative economic analysis. The coursework of the Master is organized across two years. Classes are held in the afternoon. The first is common to all specialties. In the second year students can choose from five areas of specialization. Students are also required to write a Master´s thesis.
The four areas of specialization offered are Energy Sector Economics, Economics of Telecommunications, Transport Economics and Analysis and Management of Science and Technology. These specialties are offered in collaboration with leading companies in sectors such as Iberdrola, Red Eléctrica, Telefónica, OMEL, RENFE operator, Alsa Group, The Merck Company Foundation, Fundación AstraZeneca, Esteve, Lilly, Abbott Foundation and Sanofi-Aventis.
