Course Offerings

The Master in Economic Analysis consists of two academic years, each one containing 60 ECTS. During the first year students take 12 mandatory courses of each 5 ECTS in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statitistics & Econometrics and Mathematics. During the second year take 8 elective courses of 6 ECTS each and complete their Master’s thesis of 12 ECTS. Students must choose two among four fields of pecialization (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics & Applied Economics and Industrial Organization).

Courses are taught by the regular faculty of the Department of Economics and by visiting faculty. In the last couple of years, visitors have included Dan Ackerberg (UCLA), Andrés Erosa (IMDEA), Luisa Fuster (IMDEA), Luis Garicano (LSE), Joe Harrington (Johns Hopkins), Tim Kehoe (Minnesota), Kala Krishna (Penn State), Vijay Krishna (Penn State), Juan Pablo Montero (MIT), Diego Puga (IMDEA), Victor Ríos-Rull (Minnesota), and Manuel Santos (Miami).
