1. Where can I find information on the application procedure?

All information can be found on the web page of the Graduate Admissions Office.

2. Who has to send the letters of presentation?

Letters of presentation must be sent by the persons who recommend the candidate, using the electronic format provided on the admissions web page. Letters sent directly by candidates are NOT going to be accepted.

3. Are GRE and TOEFL scores equivalent?

Absolutely NOT. Although both exams are taken in English, TOEFL measures only language skills, whereas GRE also includes quantitative reasoning.

4. Who does not need to submit the TOEFL score?

Students who have taken their Bachelor’s degree and/or their Master’s degree in English or anyone who can provide any other evidence of her knowledge of English.

5. Why are there two application deadlines?


After the first deadline, a first round of students is admitted to the program. After the second deadline, a second round of students is admitted to the program, provided there is still space left. Students are encouraged to apply before the first deadline to maximize their chances of admission.

6. Will I receive financial aid if accepted?

All admitted students receive financial aid in the form of a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of approximately 1.150€. Continuing financial aid is subject to satisfactory academic progress.

7. I have a Master’s degree. Can I skip the first two years of the Graduate Program?

The Graduate Program consists of a 2-year Master in Economic Analysis followed by a 3-year PhD Program. All incoming students should first do the Master in Economic Analysis.

8. When will I receive news of my admission?

All applicants will receive an electronic letter in the two weeks following the deadline.
