Proyecto Consolider-Ingenio 2010The general aims of the "Consolidating Economics" project are to: - Foster research in the different areas of Economics, both theoretical and applied, where a position of international prestige has already been attained. - Increase the bibliometric impact of the research team during the next half-decade by about 25% over what has been achieved during 2001-05. - Create or strengthen interdisciplinary links that will also lead to research projects and publications. - Develop a new Spanish institution, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (Barcelona GSE) to support and foster graduate teaching in close collaboration with the ongoing Ph.D. programs - Promote Economics research in Spain by supporting the Symposium of Economic Analysis and the associated Job Market for Ph.Ds in Economics and by awarding prizes for the best publications produced at Spanish institutions. - Increase activities aimed at increasing international cooperation and projection, particularly with Europe and Latin America.
ExceleconThe objetive of the project is to promote the size and impact of the research in economics of the academic participating institutions: the Department of Economics of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, the Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros, the Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada, and the Panel on the Technology of Innavation of the Department of Applies Economics of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
EFIGE: European Firms in a Global Economy: Internal Policies for External CompetitivenessEFIGE is a four-year Collaborative Research Project funded by the 7th Framework Programme (Collaborative Programme) of the European Commission. It involves Bruegel, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, CEPII, CEPR, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Institute for Applied Economic Research, and Unicredit Group. The project will look at the international competitiveness of European firms on the basis of comparative firm level surveys that will be carried out in parallel in seven EC countries. SCience, Innovation, FIrms and markets in a GLObalized WorldThe SCIFI-GLOW collaborative project examines simultaneously the organization of the ‘knowledge sector’ and the behaviour of firms and markets. The project aims to do this by bringing together two ‘communities’ of economic researchers: those interested primarily in the research sector and those who look at the effect of globalization in terms of trade flows, the organization of firms and product and labour market outcomes. SCIFI-GLOW will connect research teams with expertise in the following areas:
